Practices of Subordination cycle
Since 2010ID: C4
The cycle Practices of Subordination is a total research archive that investigates how power infiltrates everyday life through fear, control, and routine gestures. Comprising thousands of found and created objects, images, texts, and sounds collected in Belarus since 2010, it functions as an author’s museum and a living cartography of subjugation. Ordinary things become evidence of ideological and disciplinary systems that shape the human body, the city, and collective memory. Through its eighteen interconnected parts, the project examines how authority operates through infrastructure, intimacy, and repetition, revealing the anatomy of coercion and the fragile boundary between external control and self-control.
